Victoria brings an interdisciplinary lens to understanding policy development and its intersection with institutional and political contexts. Underlying her academic work is the applicability of rigorous research to on-the-ground policy realities.
As part of the University of Texas’ series on the 2012 election I discuss how present day political ad campaigns draw heavily from the consumer marketing world. In particular, today’s political ads are highly targeted toward our gutes, toward our emotional sides.
