It was been an interesting four years looking at the evolution of public opinion regarding racial and religious identities. There has been a slight increase in negative racial sentiment but what has skyrocketed is negative sentiment toward Muslim-Americans. The kicker, however is that close to thirty percent of Americans and fifty percent of Republicans in particular believe that President Obama is a Muslim.
