Victoria brings an interdisciplinary lens to understanding policy development and its intersection with institutional and political contexts. Underlying her academic work is the applicability of rigorous research to on-the-ground policy realities.
In the lead up to the Arizona primary we discuss the medium to long-term forces that have shaped current immigration politics. Key to understanding Arizona is placing it in the context of other Mountain West states that were born into a populist political tradition. More recently federal action (and lack of action) has also molded the state’s politics.
