In the wake of the RNC convention Romney did receive much of a bump, at least not in the general electorate. However he did receive a slight boost within the Latino electorate. The Romney campaign was able nudge his approval rating through highlighting their Latino GOP leaders. But they also effectively dodged the issue of immigration and trained the spotlight on the economy which is the top issue of concern for Latinos who have suffered the most in the recession.
